Gary Almond leads Shell Foundation’s strategic and tactical communications and marketing.
Gary coordinates SF’s communications activity to provide timely and relevant content and insights to the energy access and transport development sectors, engage aligned social investment organisations across global markets, and protect the brand and market reputation of SF. He also works with SF’s portfolio partners to build communications and marketing capacity as a core part of their growth and impact delivery.
Before he joined SF in 2017, Gary worked for a global investment bank, coordinating communication and marketing activities in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and a development communications agency based in Kampala, Uganda, managing behaviour change projects for international organisations aimed at low-literate East African communities.
