Gender results based financing pilot

This International Women’s Day, Shell Foundation is proud to share the results of a Gender Results Based Financing (RBF) pilot delivered alongside long-term portfolio partners Odyssey Energy Solutions and CrossBoundary Advisory.

Co-funded by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) via its Transforming Energy Access initiative, the programme tested how targeted incentives can accelerate women’s access to income-generating clean energy appliances and unlock greater investment in women-led enterprises.

This report highlights the evidence, impact and lessons that can help scale gender-smart finance across emerging markets.
